Do you feel like you are on an endless search for misplaced items?
You know you have it, but where did you put it?

That's the eternal question - Where the heck is it?
This is the story of Suzie.

She thought she was being smart by buying her
holiday cards and wrapping paper on sale at the
end of the year. Good thinking, way to plan ahead!
Suzie came home and put her purchases in a
closet. A closet that was already full of stuff, stuff
and more stuff. Some of it from the Nixon era.
Luckily Suzie has had lots of practice closing
doors quickly, otherwise she might have been
buried by the avalanche of boxes.

Suzie got invited to a Valentine's Day Party. She
knows she has a snazzy red sweater that would
be absolutely perfect to wear. She looks terrific
in it! It should be in her closet but Suzie can't
find it. However, she did find a forgotten birthday
present for her niece, an expired gift certificate
that had been worth fifty dollars and two past due
library books. Did she take the sweater to the dry
cleaners or did she put it in the cedar chest? If
she doesn't find her sweater soon she'll have to
go the mall and buy something new. What a waste
of time and money!

Ding dong! Rich Aunt Irma surprises Suzie with a
visit. Good thing Aunt Irma can't see very well.
Hopefully she won't notice all the clutter in the
living room. Aunt Irma hates clutter but she loves
mint tea and butter cookies. Suzie thinks she has some, somewhere.Suzie may have to make do with coffee and
stale donuts. Aunt Irma also really appreciates a nice table. Suzie has that too. Only it's under all those
pesky newspapers, junk mail and oh yikes, are those
bills? Suzie forgot about those. You know the old
saying, out of sight, out of mind. Bummer, she'll
be paying those darn late fees again.

  • Do you dread unexpected company?

  • Do you find yourself apologizing to
guests for the mess in your house?

  • Is it difficult to relax because you
are surrounded by clutter and the
    possibility of unfinished business?

  • Have you forgotten what color the carpet
is in your kid's room because it has been
so long since you could actually see it?

  • Are your clothing choices made based
on what's in the clean pile?

  • Do you have to clear the table just
so you can set the table?

  • If someone asked to see your vacation
photos would you be able to find them?

  • If a disaster were to strike would you
be able to put your hands on your most
    important papers in a hurry?

  • Do you sometimes wish a disaster
would strike because you think it
would be easier to start over than
deal with all the stuff you have?

Woo hoo! Suzie won a trip to France! Hooray!
She has always dreamed of seeing Paris in the
spring. She'll need to find her passport. Is it in
the filing cabinet or at the lock box, maybe it's still
in her carry on bag from the last time she took a trip.
The stress is overwhelming. What if she can't find it?
She's leaving in less than a week so it's too late
to get a replacement. No passport means no trip.
All Suzie can do is keep looking.

Oh no! Suzie forgot she has to kennel her dog
while she's away, a cute little schnauzer named
Frank. He's such a good boy! The kennel wants to
see proof of Frank's vaccinations. Suzie is a good
and honest person, why won't they just take her
word that he's had his shots. Now Suzie has to call
the vet on a Sunday and beg him to get her what she
needs immediately. He didn't sound pleased
to be interrupted during the charity golf tournament.
Is 'flaky lady' a compliment? Suzie is pretty sure
that's what the vet called her.

Aarrgghh!! Can you hear that?
That's Suzie screaming in frustration. All she
really wants is to be able to find her stuff,
feel relaxed, and enjoy her life.

Do any of these scenarios ring
true for you? Do you ever feel
overwhelmed by your stuff?
Do you wish you could get it
under control once and for all?

You can!
You may just need some
support. A helping hand
is just a call away!

Can you identify with Suzie in any way?
Most people can. All of Suzie's problems
could be fixed with some organization.
Organization frees time, saves money and
alleviates stress. How much more would
you enjoy life if you knew everything
was in perfect order?
